← FAQWe continue to north of Iceland to Skagafjörður fjord where history lays everywhere surrounded with beautiful nature. The area is famous for horse breeding. We use the opportunity to visit Glaumbær museum where we learn about how the Icelanders lived back in the old days. We stay for the night in this fjord where the sunsets are one of the most beautiful in Iceland.

← FAQWe travel by the coastline around Tröllaskagi Peninsula with a view over the Atlantic Ocean, passing small fishing villages. On the way we stop at the award winning Siglufjörður Herring Museum. We continue to Akureyri, the biggest city outside of the capital area and then further east to the beautiful Waterfall Godafoss.

It is by many considered the most beautiful and at the same time the most catastrophic place in Iceland. We spend the day exploring these wonders like Dimmuborgir Lava Fields, Hverir Geothermal area and Mývatn Nature Baths. In the afternoon we head over to the Eastfjords of Iceland.

As we drive along the south coast with the huge glacier on one side and the black sand desert on the other we explore places such as Skaftafell National Park, an oasis in between Glaciers. We end the day by Vík Village with it’s black sand beaches and terrific cliffs.

It is part of the Golden Circle along with Geysir hot spring area and Gullfoss Waterfall. A must see on every trip to Iceland. The latter part of the day, and the evening is free for city exploring in downtown Reykjavík.
