The Reykjanes Peninsula day tour is an exclusive way to enjoy a relaxing day through volcanic landscapes and geothermal wonders.
A diamond in the rough; the Reykjanes Peninsula is full of surprises and beautiful destinations.
We start the day by driving through the lavafields in Hafnafjörður and past lake Kleifarvatn. On the way you will catch colorful landscapes and Bessastaðir, the Icelandic White House.
Among the highlights of the day, is the boiling mud pools of the powerful Gunnuhver. Gunnuhver is named after a famous Icelandic ghost who is said to haunt the lava fields after a priest set a trap so she fell into the mud pool. Gunnuhver stands in the middle of the Reykjanes UNESCO Global Geopark where you will find endless craters, colorful lavafields and Seltún geothermal area.
Our guide will explain the geological forces behind a landscape of this caliber.
The tour guides are local experts that know the area like the back of their hands and are storytellers at heart. Being a small group guarantee tour we can assure you that the tour guide has time for all the questions from each participant.
