This short break is designed for the adventurous nature lover where some of the Highlands most unique locations are visited. The tour starts with a pickup in Reykjavík and then we embark on a journey across the Icelandic Highland, via the old mountain route Kjölur. On arrival to Akureyri you check in to your accommodation. Askja Caldera is on the schedule for the following day, a long tour who ends in Lake Mývatn. The last day is a relaxing “slow travel” tour of the beautiful Diamond Circle. After the full day tour you fly back to Reykjavík from Akureyri on short 40 min flight across the highland, and remember to ask for a window seat, the view is spectacular.

This is the location where NASA trained the Apollo Astronauts before the first lunar landing. Iconic landmarks such as Herðubreiðalindir Oasis, Drekagil Gully and Skínandi Waterfall will also be visited. The tour starts in Akureyri and ends by Lake Mývatn.
