4 Day Akureyri Local Highlights & Northern Lights

Winter Wonders Surrounded with Tranquility

You start your visit with a domestic flight to Akureyri, where you spend two nights, and end with 1 night in Reykjavík. The main focus is on the Northern part of Iceland with the town of Akureyri as base. The town is centrally located in North Iceland and therefore perfect for all day trips, especially if you want a part of your experience to be a search for the Northern Lights. It is situated in the driest area of Iceland and therefore has the least cloud coverage. On the third day you fly back to Reykjavík and have free time to explore the capital and it’s surroundings. We make sure that each day is an adventure that you will be able to share with friends for the rest of your life.

4 Day Akureyri Local Highlights & Northern Lights

The short break starts with a scenic 45 minute domestic flight across Iceland to the beautiful town of Akureyri. A Saga Travel staff member will meet you at the Akureyri Domestic Airport and take you on a short meet & greet city tour.  Later in the evening your guide will pick you up and drive out to the countryside or up to the mountains, away from electric glow and city sounds. You will be able to enjoy the beautiful night sky at the best possible situation, of course depending on weather.
